Financial Information - Truckee Surgery Center

Truckee Surgery Center realizes that the cost of healthcare is a concern for our patients. We offer the following information to help you understand our financial policies and aid you in planning for payment.

Carefully review the following information and please feel free to ask if you have any questions about our fees, our policies or your responsibility.

Billing information

Patients will receive at minimum of two (2) separate bills relating to their surgery:

Truckee Surgery Center
- Facility Fee
Tahoe Forest Hospital
- Surgeon professional fee
- Anesthesiologist professional fee (if required)
- Physician Assistant professional fee (if required)

Truckee Surgery Center will send a claim to your insurance carrier for our facility charges. We will contact you prior to your surgery date to discuss your financial responsibility for the facility fee, if any. You will be responsible to pay your estimated co-insurance and any deductibles or co-pays that may apply at the time of service. If you have coverage under Workers Compensation, no payment will be required. If you are self-pay, payment arrangements will be required prior to surgery.

Surgeon, Anesthesia, and Physician Assistant billing

Tahoe Forest Hospital will send a claim to your insurance carrier for the Surgeon Professional Charges, Anesthesia Charges, and Physician Assistant Professional Charges.
